Really simple.
You have Zone Alarm which is firewall and ZA is disabling Windows Firewall because you can't run more than one firewall on your system because of incompatiablity . You should decide which firewall to keep. I advise ALL users to have only Windows Firewall set to ON with "Don't allow exceptions" and remove any other firewalls but you decide which one best meet your needs. :-) WF has only incoming protection (but very good) and ZA has bot incoming and outgoing protection. The two firewalls are canceling each other out. Contrary to Panda man, I
really think you should keep Zone Alarm because there are more options that allow to customize the firewall to better fit your needs. If you do decide to keep Zone Alarm, make sure it turns off Windows Firewall, or manually turn it off yourself by going into the Security Center. -Christopher Isherwood "Mack" wrote: Every so often I have to go to security centre because my Windows security firewall changes to off & I have to put it back to on !!
