Default How to add a shortcut to Send To in right click menu

In all previous versions of windows I have been able to locate the root
Santo and add what ever shortcuts I wanted to. In Windows 7 this simple
process has been turned into a convoluted mess.
Can anyone provide the path to Send To and how I can add such shortcuts as I
might choose e.g. one for recycle bin

been hidden by putting them in the 'BCC' address area.
All email addresses shown on the original message were also removed before

C:\Users\Your Account Name\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\SendTo

(AppData is a hidden folder so you may need to enable 'Show hidden files and folders' in Folder Options.)

Easier way to get to the same place:

%APPDATA%\Microsoft\Windows\SendTo

You can click the Start button, enter that in the box, and press
Enter.

Dave-UK gave you the path and Stan Brown
explained how to turn it into a small programming
project.

I'd suggest a third idea: I find it useful to have
a shortcut into one's App Data folder. I use an
Explorer bar with shortcuts. Another method is
to just put a shortcut on the Desktop. I find that
I need to go into those folders frequently, while the
design is tediously convoluted and overproduced,
so it's worth having a shortcut to at least save
some of the travel required to get there.

Also worth noting is that folders can
be used to create submenus. For instance,
....SendTo\Photos\ could contain shortucts
to D:\Graphics\Travel\Paris
D:\Graphics\Travel\London
D:\Graphics\Photos\Vacations
etc.

My case is odd...

I can do what you described in Windows XP even with directory junctions and
symbolic link (with third party driver).

But in my Windows 7 SP1, even though I can put an actual subfolder there,
the SendTo submenu doesn't popup another submenu when I hover the mouse
cursor over the subfolder menu item. The subfolder was created by my own
account and it does have more than one shortcut files and they don't have
hidden attribute enabled.

I'm not using a limited Windows account, BTW.
Am I missing something?

Third and a half idea...
Better is you use a junction or a symbolic link.
It won't cost you a single cluster.

Yes, I see what you mean. Sorry. I guess that's
just one more thing broken in Win7. I do it in XP
and hadn't tried it in Win7 before, so I just assumed
it still worked.

And even easier way:

Start*button » shell:sendto

This has been listed in my Windows 7 tips page for some time, and I
completely forgot it was there!

What is a symbolic link? This is a new term for me.

Default How to add a shortcut to Send To in right click menu

Thanks to this response and all the other helpful responses I was able to
navigate to the Send To folder. Once I found it I attempted to right click
on my Recycle Bin to create a shortcut which I intended to drag into the
Send To folder.........the Recycle Bin has no option for a right click
Create Shortcut. Having hit this wall I copied the folder into the Send To
folder and an icon with correct name appeared, in the folder. To test I
right clicked on a desktop folder to see if I could send it to the recycle
bin only to find that when the right click of my mouse was executed the
Recycle Bin did not appear in the dialog menu block.
Is there something particular about the Recycle Bin?
Also how do I get the Documents and Settings on the C Drive to open? As the
owner and Administrator I don't quite understand how I can be denied access
to any folder!

Here is an excellent freeware tool that makes the task quite simple:

Send To Toys 2.7

AND

Here are some instructions for doing it manually:

Why not just use the Delete button to send an item to the Recycle Bin?

Just don't configure your deletes to be unconditional.

Yes that's what I do for large-scale narrowing of selections. But
it's too easy to forget a recycled single or few items.

Mine does. I made one and put it into the folder, but as in your case,
it doesn't appear on the menu. But then, I haven't rebooted yet.

I rebooted. Still no joy.
