Internet Explorer opens in screen a fraction of potential size, i.e. it opens in a window about one third its actual size
When I open IE or a url link it opens with a desktop viewing area about one
third the size of my screen/desktop. What can I do to correct this annoying problem? -- To be considerate of my contacts and friends, their email addresses have been hidden by putting them in the 'BCC' address area. All email addresses shown on the original message were also removed before the message was forwarded |

This includes having no other windows minimized to the Taskbar. Grab the corners of the window and drag it to full screen size. Do not use Maximize. Close all other windows first via the Taskbar and this one last. Windows will remember the size used of the last window closed the next time you open the program. -- Bruce Hagen MS-MVP 2004 ~ 2010 Imperial Beach, CA |

Bruce Hagen's solution sounds the best (i. e. set the size you want then make sure that's the last IE window you close). Or use another browser (-: [where the answer will I guess depend on which you choose]. -- To be considerate of my contacts and friends, their email addresses have been hidden by putting them in the 'BCC' address area. At the risk of being facetious, is there any reason why you want to make Internet Explorer work instead of just using a better browser? And by "better", I mean without the designed-in security nightmare that is ActiveX. -- Stan Brown, Oak Road Systems, Tompkins County, New York, USA http://OakRoadSystems.com Shikata ga nai... |
