Default Directory Listing Denied

Dear Jonathan,
When I click on your web address as follows:
http://messenger.jonathankay.com/downloads/

I get this message:

Directory Listing Denied
This Virtual Directory does not allow contents to be listed.

Could you please guide me where to find out how I can set up my
website such that directory listing be denied too. My website allows
visitors to see a ftp directory listing and move up and down. That is
what I am trying to change so they see a message as above when I
clicked on your web. Thanks a lot for the help.

Regards,
Max.

Default Directory Listing Denied

Greetings Max,

Yes -- I don't allow people to view all the files I allow for download.

This is a function of the server I'm using (Internet Information Server), and in fact is the
default. A quick solution is to just put a blank webpage and call it default.asp (or
index.html, index.htm file if you're using apache or some *nix variant -- or however it's
setup) and put it into the folder you don't want people to view.
