Default Which Registry Cleaner?

I suggest you visit www.macecraft.com.

You are entitled to your opinion even if it is totally incorrect.

I am unaware that Microsoft has written a Registry Cleaner for WINXP,
perhaps you will be kind enough to post a link?

Perhaps you will also refrain from posting BS.

Many false statements in your reply.
1. RegSupreme is NOT the cleaning engine for JV16 Power Tools.
2. There was/is only ONE author for the registry cleaner.
3. Registry cleaners are a placebo is entirely false. Why do you think
Microsoft developed one?
4. No confidence on restoring the registry is required with JV16 Power
Tools, it is built in.
I suspect you have this mixed up with some other registry cleaner.

Far and above, JV16 Power Tools. Used to be free but now there is a
small fee for it. However it is many tools in one. And I might add you
will never worry about it causing any kind of problem. It has a restore
feature and you can select what you want to delete from the registry
which the cleaner finds.

Hi All,

I have XP + SP1. I use Microsoft OLD RegClean.

Is this the Best Registry Cleaner Available? Or If not which one I
should Go
For my XP System?

Thanks
Prabhat

As far as I am concerned this is bad advice. I have used several
'Registry Cleaners' and the only one to give me problems was RegSupreme
which is the 'cleaning engine' of JV16 Power Tools. Fortunately I always
backup the Registry using ERUNT and no damage was done. The problem was
repeatable and I advised the program authors who were singularly
unhelpful.

I may have had a 'one off' problem but to say "you will never worry about
it causing any kind of problem" is an unfounded statement. The
usefulness of Registry cleaners in WINXP is very doubtful, they are a
placebo. If you are not entirely confident on how to restore your system
in the event of a Registry problem, don't run a 'cleaner', you won't miss
anything.
