Default Where have all the cheap USB thumb drives gone?

It seems impossible to buy anything under 4GB
these days.
Some of us like to send off photos to relatives on
these drives and the large papacy is redundant.
I need CHEAPER ones of about 1GB or less, just for
posting off photos.

They have gone to Ebay.
512k and up.
1 MB / $0.74 USD.
Free shipping on the slow boat from China. About 4 weeks.

Open a "Free Tier" Account with AWS for S3 drives and you can upload
your photos on it and your relatives can download them if you give them
a link and access code. The drive can be made private (it is private by
default) and you can generate a link to send it to your loved ones.

Sending a flash drive is not save and it can get lost in the post. We
have modern technology for such mishaps. Postal system is outdated.
Even Christmas cards have become eCards. Saves money and good for
environment. No need for postal vans polluting our air when delivering
your photos.

I don't care about the environment!
Nor do I give a stuff for all the cute furry

I've had no luck with evilBay. I had to pay $5.00
ea for 10 x 4GB drives.

Log into ebay and search for 1gb flash drive bulk

There are many available from China at about $1 with free shipping.

(Sorry about the pricing mistake in my 1st reply. I noticed it before
I sent my note and meant to correct it but hit a wrong key when I
reached for my phone.)

We know that. You don't care about anything until it affects you.

Nor do I give a stuff for all the cute furry
bug-eyed critters that drive up prices everywhere!

What prices or bug eyed are you talking about? They are not some blind
one legged lesbians hanging out on there. You really need to be
realistic in life. With that sort of blinkered mindset will make you
one of those old hats hanging out here asking stupid questions like you
have just asked.
I know what I want and so do all my recipients,
all of the quality Old School.

If they are from quality old schools then they should have heard of CDs
or DVDs. Have you heard of them. They are still cheap and most branded
computers still have CD/DVD readers. Each disk cost about 10p here in
expensive part of London.

If I can FEEL things then I know they exist!

But the fact is you don't FEEL it so it doesn't exist and you have just
tried it and got no results. Either you belong to nutters who can't
find things on internet or that you expect people to do it for you
irrespective of whether it is on the net or not.

I found you a 128MB flash drive for USD 1.83

https://www.aliexpress.com/item/2016-hot-sale-real-capacity-colorful-smartphone-OTG-usb-flash-drive-8gb-16gb-32gb-64gb-pen/32622172191.html

Get in quick. It looks like they are almost sold at 128MB capacity.

Some of us like to send off photos to relatives on
these drives and the large papacy is redundant.

The number of Vatican staff is irrelevant.

I need CHEAPER ones of about 1GB or less, just for
posting off photos.

Below a certain capacity, smaller capacity will NOT mean cheaper.
The seller still has to pay the same shipping costs and the same floor
rent to stock USB flash drives, whether they are 0.5GB or 8GB. Really
small USB flash drives sell so slowly that the seller ends up paying
more in accumulated floor rent before the USB flash drive is sold. The
*only* reason most sellers might stock such a small USB flash drive
would be to sell it at a premium to someone whose device could not
handle larger USB flash drives.

For posting off photos you are better off buying cheaper NOT smaller,
even if it has redundant capacity.

Plus there's lots of legacy devices won't see larger drives. I have a
Fuji 609Z camera won't accept a 4Gb flashdrive, limit is two Gb.

Ka-ching! What did I just write above?!

How desperate are you? How much will you pay?

I see them at Amazon.es. There is a filter for "2 GB or less", and I get
"more than a thousand results". I see one for 256 MB items at 28€ a
packet of 10 in the first page.

Probably because the margins aren't worth it.

You can get them from branding sites e.g to get name on them, you'll need
to buy a minimum number. I bought a bunch of 512MB ones earlier this year.

Go to a non computer store that sells things like Star Wars USB drives.
