Printing permission on home network
I am unable to print on my home network printer after trying to set up shared
documents folders using Computer Management under the Administration Tools tab. Perhaps I inadvertently denied permission to certain users but when I tried to re-establish, I was unable to access the security tab on the Printer properties tab. I followed the directions (hold down CRTL and right click printer) but the security tab does not appear. The network configuration (which worked fine until 2 days ago) uses an XP desktop connected to Linksys router and an Epson Workforce 500 as the "server" to which my VISTA laptop connects wirelessly. The laptop still connects to the network but can only print if physically connected to the printer. The desktop now only prints after changing the port from the network server to a local USB connection. From this I deduce all the components work and the network itself is operable. Printing on the network is the problem. Hope someone can help. |

Printing permission on home network
That option is not available. The closest option available is the one to
automatically search for network folders and printers which is checked. Do you think this is related to Administrator privileges? I suspect there's a problem there somewhere. Thanks for trying to help.
