Default OT - Xbox 360 controller question

I have four Xbox 360 controllers all wireless. I'd like to be able to
use them on a pc also. To that affect I figured there was two choices.
Either buy the wireless receiver for the pc or buy the wired charging
cable which I assumed made the wireless controller into a wired
controller.

Well quess what. It doesn't make the wireless controller into a wired
controller but simply charges the battery. And to add insult to injury
it seems "fussy" about batteries with the two I bought only working with
the included "self enclosed" batteries and not with AA's in araditional
holder nor even a true blue MS "self enclosed" battery.

F#k I hate proprietary anything!!! I'll be taking them back for a
refund.

P.S. Brand is BioGenik to warn others.
