Default SOLVED; Boot problem.

Interesting episode last night.

Wanted to copy some files from desktop to win7i laptop so I connected
the USB drive with the backup files and the system clone to the laptop.

Then I shut down the laptop and later restarted it.

Wouldn't boot**,. Insisted on chkdsking me hard drive, Put me in
Preparing Repair nnnn loop.

I finally remembered the USB drive and I turned it off and restarted
with ctrl-alt-delete.

Now things are fine, but I was trying to boot from the win10 clone.

It always takes much longer to boot the desktop, becasue there are more
startup files. I wonder if I'd waited if win10 would have started.

I have one external USB drive when plugged in prevents (or stalls for endless minutes) the bootup. I usually just unplug it and the boot
begins within seconds.

But just one drive. It's not a big issue and I don't troubleshoot it. It's just easier to remember to remove drives.
