Nwiz.exe error?
The same thing happens to me. The error message reads, "nwiz.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." It seemed to start happening after I updated to Service Pack 2 (XP Home) Is there info as to what this is? Solution? Thanks! |

However, this isn't necessary for the operation of your system ]] You do not need any of this NVIDIA crap running at startup. Open the Registry Editor and delete these keys, if they exist. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Run NvCplDaemon REG_SZ RUNDLL32.EXE C:\WINDOWS\System32\NvCpl.dll,NvStartup HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Run NvMediaCenter REG_SZ RUNDLL32.EXE C:\WINDOWS\System32\NvMcTray.dll,NvTaskbarInit HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Run nwiz REG_SZ nwiz.exe /install Do you have the latest NVIDIA drivers for your graphics card? NVidia Display Drivers 61.77 is the latest. http://www.nvidia.com/content/drivers/drivers.asp -- Hope this helps. Let us know. Wes In , Whatyeah hunted and pecked: The same thing happens to me.
