How can I create a back up disks on Windows ME, in preparation of an upgrade
to XP.

What, precisely, do you mean "backup disks"? Backup of Data? Installed
programs? On Floppies? CDs?

You could:

1) Backup all data important to you. (Copy/Move to external location.)
- Export your email.
- Export your contacts.
- Copy your documents, pictures, spreadsheets, drawings, favorites,
bookmarks, databases, saved games, presentations, taxes, money management
files - everything you want to keep.
- Copy/move anything else important to you.

You know - all the stuff you should be periodically backing up anyway -
because the hard drive could die, the computer could burn up - all sorts of
bad things could happen - thus why we make backups.

2) Use a disk cloning program to replicate the entire drive.
