Default Back Button(arrow) trouble

When I click-on the back button(arrow) in IE7 browser, it sometimes takes
two or more clicks to go back one page. Sometimes one click will take it
back three or four pages, etc. Sometimes after one or several clicks and
waiting and waiting, all pages are gone and I'm back on my Homepage.
I have ran Malwarebytes, Ad-Aware, Avast, SuperAnti-Spyware, Windows
Defender, have all Microsoft Up-dates; everything is clean.
System: - Acer 2450 laptop
- Windows XP, Home-SP3
- Explorer 7

*I Googled this problem, but found no definite solutions. Hoping someone
here can point me in the right direction. Thanks!
