Default back button problem

Hi everyone
I have WIN XP with IE6
A new problem has started and I don't know why or how to fix it.
I hope someone here can help.
When I click on the back button nothing happens until I click somewhere on
the open page and then on the back button.
It then changes pages.
Another problem is I keep getting on the web pages I visit near the top a
message like this page cannot be displayed.
But the page is there.
Will await your replies.
Thanks in advance.

Default back button problem

Some web sites manipulate things so that the back button doesn't go back.
Sometimes you have to click the drop-down arrow on the Back button and
select a previous site.

Microsoft is notorious for having pages that do this.

Hope this helps. Let us know.

Thumbs up

Hi
I had this problem to. Spent ages on the microsoft site gave up in the end. So now use Firefox, have had no problems since. Also as a foot note I think Firefox is a safer browser as well.
