Default Wireless networking

Xref: kermit microsoft.public.windowsxp.network_web:191278

I have a desktop pc with a wireless pci card. I also have a
laptop with a wirless card. I am running windows xp home on
both machines. Both wireless cards are working. I notice
they are transmitting but not receiving. I don't believe it
is necessary to buy a wirless hub or router. If they will
work peer to peer with a nic card why won't they work
wireless? How do I set up my machines to work. I only have
the two computers.
