Great, I applied it. But I searched on Duck Duck Go for "KB4018314
Links" and found absolutely nothing. You sure about this?

Regards.

And out of curiosity, I just did a Google search for "KB4018314" and
had 700+ hits!

A side effect of this ?

Maybe they were screwing around, and broke Outlook because it
shared some gubbins with this.

https://www.cnet.com/news/microsoft-...-edge-browser/

"If you click a link, it won't open in Google's Chrome,
Mozilla FireFox or some other browser you might have installed.
Instead, in this version, it will only open in Edge,"

"attracted the attention of regulators"

Ah, so the regulators like "fresh meat" ?

Who knew.

I uninstalled the update and the links were back showing in the emails.

Last night windows wanted to re-install the update, which I let it do
with the intention of finding a solution to the missing links with the
update in place.
After installing the update again the missing links are no longer
missing.
Why the problem in the first place?
Damn computers do try your patience at times :|

qp
....we will begin testing a change where links clicked on ***within the
Windows Mail app*** will open in Microsoft Edge,
/qp

i.e. limited applicability, but still taking away control of choice
'within' their software.
