My 64-bit W7's Applications' System Sounds' volume keep changing.
Hello.
Once in a while, my updated 64-bit W7 HPE SP1's Volume Mixer's Applications' System Sounds get lowered even if I put it back. Why? https://image.prntscr.com/image/koiY...pBW8CIqN3w.gif for a screen capture/shot of it. The only way to fix it is to reboot my old desktop PC. Thank you in advance. -- Happy Holidays/Merry Christmas/Season's Greetings! Oh wow, I can click on its "System Sounds" icon to its Sound's Communications tab. It was set as "Reduce the volume of other sounds by 80%". I tried "Do nothing" and retested. It didn't change. But what was my communications activity? :/ -- Happy Holidays/Merry Christmas/Season's Greetings! But without a log file, these settings changes could come from just about any piece of software. Paul |

Is rebooting a problem for you? I shut down my PC whenever I leave my house and when I go to sleep. I might cold reboot several times a day. I also have to warm reboot whenever I update certain applications (e.g., anti-virus, print-to-PDF). -- David E. Ross http://www.rossde.com/ President Trump: Please stop using Twitter. If you also have a camera, you should be cautious since there are malwares that snoop people. I'm not trying to scare you, but better be safe than sorry. Scan you system for any malware if you don't think you have any (so-so) third party application that can access microphone and/or camera. |
