Default Make new hard drive bootable

You need to use the Disk Management tool, right click over
My COmputer then select Manage.

Sounds to me like you want to set up a mirror drive, what
we call RAID 1. I should imagine you can set this up under
Windows XP in the very same disk management tool. You used
to be able to under Win NT4. I think the rules may be
though that your main hard drive has to be Primary Master
and the Mirror drive is on the Secondary Master.

Once a mirror is establish you need do no work as all to
maintain the two drives they'll sort themselves out. The
concept is that if your main drive goes down you can bring
the secondary master straight into service.

The environment is an HP 763N with XP Professional.

I want to make another hard drive bootable to be a backup
of the original hard drive.

How do I make its first partition bootable like the old
Windows 98 sys command???

Thanks
