Unable to open service automatic updates for reading on local computer Error 5: Access is denied.
Hi there,
Can somebody please help me with my problem... Automatic Update of windows does not work anymore. When I try to start the service Automatic Update in my service window, the message "Unable to open service automatic updates for reading on local computer" "Error 5: Access is denied." I tried to REGSVR32 %windir%\system32\wuapi.dll - succeeded REGSVR32 %windir%\system32\atl.dll - succeeded REGSVR32 %windir%\system32\wucltu.dll - succeeded REGSVR32 %windir%\system32\wups.dll - succeeded but the REGSVR32 %windir%\system32\wuaueng.dll - DllRegisterServer failed. Return code was 0x80070005. What can I do to solve this problem? Greetings. |
