Default HIBERNATION INSTEAD OF SHUTTING DOWN?

i was wondering, is hibernation better than shutting down your xp. i know it
saves a lot more time with the non booting, but is it bad?...thanks

As far as I know, your processor works hard powering up so, no. I leave mine on also.

Default HIBERNATION INSTEAD OF SHUTTING DOWN?

I've never found it bad. I hibernate all the time. It is far quicker than
shutting down, although i must add that i occasionally - say once a week or
so, shut down the pc completely and then reboot, but generally the pc is
hibernated every time.
