Default 10586.36 context menu Line spacing

The right click context menu on the start button is now doubled spaced
instead of single spacing and takes up double the area it used to.
This occurred before in some other build number, 11 or 14 or so. It also
double spaces Thunderbird in the list and message pane which I posted
about a month ago thinking it was a Thunderbird fault, But it is not, It
is a windows fault. It does not occur in 10240.
I have tried various fonts to no avail, Any ideas or shall we just wait
till MS corrects it?
Other people have reported it in various Windows Forums so it is not
just me or my machine

Regards, Rene

Just wait until the cows come home; or until the "big one" hits CA...

It was ALWAYS "double spaced", if by "double spaced" you mean "double
spaced"; which means "double spaced" or an empty line between vertical
items --- unless you hold yer tablet sideways - then it would be
"horizontal items" and you'd have to turn yer head sideways to even figure
it out.

Roll on back to 10240 if you were so happy with that hot mess and quit
whining about st00pid stuff or else "...winston" will keep writing entire
treatises about how fonts were invented from the time of feather quills to
the current Windows 10 OS Build.

TIA.

Yes, Mary Xmas to all the st00pid luzers too. They have as much right to
spend their credit cards as anybody else does... and then whine about how
their bankruptcy lawyer won't take credit cards.

I think that came in with 10586 itself, when the start and taskbar
context menus changed from white to grey background.

Yes, It was OK in 10240, I don't mind it on the desktop but it sure
screws up Thunderbird news reader.

Thanks Andy, Yes I have it and have tried a dozen different fonts and
sizes and it does not help, as I mentioned it is a Windows quirk and
probably be only fixed in Windows, maybe in the next round.

I use Classic TB2 1.3.0 add-on to have single normal spacing.

Looks "normal" here with

zoom: 1.0
font: Segoe UI
size: custom 13.0
style: default
weight: default

The troll is happy about using an add-on to fix a Windows bug...
