Default Printing in XP

I am on SS disablity. High school grad. Started my computer carrer at 17
"KEYPUNCHING:. Then computer operator, then to programming which I hated!
Did not get personal PC till 2000. Had my daughters GATEWAY WIN 98SE
She had it so screwed up. I added memory, new hard drive, modem, cdrw and
finally upgraded her to XP. I got new GATEWAY in 2002 and had absoluty NO
problems till I upgraded to SP2. My problems are mainly with Symantec and HP.
I formatted and reinstall SP2 with CD courtesy of Microsoft! I am still
having
problems with Symantec 2005 Goback and my printer. I love this site. It is
very informative and some them posts are absolutely ridculous, but humerous!

Liked your lawyer jokes.
Why do lawyers wear neckties?
To keep foreskin for jumping over their heads, the f#%^$%$#*in pricks.
This joke was told to a group of lawyers. William Kuntzler, Ron Kuby and
Peter Nuefeld.

"Jim Macklin" wrote:

The registry is like an index in a book, except that when it
runs and doesn't find an entry it returns an error. Most
likely the required HP software and drivers are not
installed in the expected folders. This is one of the
reasons for needing XP compatible software.

I do have a number of friends who are attorneys. They all
love "lawyer jokes."
How many lawyers does it take to grease a combine? Just
one, but if he's small you may need to run two through.

A lawyer died in a train wreck and arrived in heaven. There
was a large assembly that greeted him at the Pearly Gates.
All the Saints, Prophets and even the Lord was there. After
parade the check-in was resumed. The lawyer was shown to
his new domicile, it was a palace with hundreds of rooms,
servants and all the modern conveniences.
He asked the Lord if everybody had such accommodations in
Heaven? He was told no, most live in just a single room and
some share their rooms with others, but you're our first
lawyer.

Thanks for your input. I will use you suggestions. But first I
have problems to resovle with Symantec.

Two years is "old" in computer years. Be sure to download
the latest drivers to a folder and rather than installing
from the CD, use that folder.

Ruby and Kuntzler are scum, even for lawyers, don't know
about Nuefeld.

Thanks again Jim for your suggestions. I WILL be appliyng them
soon. I even purchased 2005 Symantec products, hoping they would
with better with SP2. In my opinon they should have gave a
FREE upgrade to address compatablity issues with Microsoft.
Products seem to be working O.K. Problem was with a Liveupdate
given for Goback. Boy did that screw my computer up.
Oh, well gives my something to do besides playing Spider Solitaire.
Look like the lawyer joke I told was not wasted. Heh And again I enjoyed
your jokes. Especially the one about Heaven.
