Code 10 errors all of the sudden
All of the sudden my printer will not print and I am getting "Code 10" errors. The device manager shows both COM1 and COM2 are having issues and it appears they are having IRQ conflicts but I manually changed them and I still have errors. Code 10 errors all of the sudden
OK- Under futher investigation. Under "Safe Mode" both COM1 and COM2 are working properly. This just happened all of the sudden. There has been no upgrades-no new hardware-no new software and nothing new has been done to this machine at all. I tried deleting both COMS and rebooted but nothing seems to work. They both have issues and manually changing the IRQ settings doesnt seem to work because the computer says they are NOT using system resources because of the problem. In looking at the "Event Log" I see an error referring to "not able to verify serial port". Have you tried reinstalling the printer, checking printer cables to make sure
they are snug..? Is there a driver update on the printers OEM site..? Have you tried reinstalling the printers driver, software..?
