Problem with 0xc0000017 error
Hello, Let me start by saying I'm not very tech-savvy, so please explain in simple terms. I recently had my mothers computer upgraded with Windstream wireless without any problems. After I got her connected to the network, I went ahead and downloaded whatever upgrades for Windows, Norton, etc. that were available (since she tends to ignore getting updates). After finishing, I had to restart. I did so and when it started up, got the Windows screen for a few seconds before getting the 0xc0000017 error and failure to initialize. The machine then restarted itself and that pattern has repeated since. I understand this has something to do with "virtual memory" but, since I can't even get to a point where there's anything to click on, what do I do? Once again, if anything has any suggestions, please pretend I know absolutely nothing about technical terminology (you won't be far from the truth).
