Windows XP Professional Edition [or]
Windows XP Service Pack 1 [or]

"Windows XP Service Pack 3 (SP3) includes all previously released
updates for the operating system."


It is an established fact that you cannot upgrade from SP0 to SP3. If
you don't believe me, try it. :-)

There is two Windows XP Media Center Service Pack 2 Rollups,
Plus Service Pack 2,
Before you can move on up too,
Windows XP Media Center Service Pack 3 ..

For all XP's are not the same.........
