How to create multiple floppy discs?
Hi Dave,
You need a file splitter. There are plenty of freeware ones around, try a google.com search. -- Best of Luck, Rick Rogers aka "Nutcase" MS-MVP - Win9x Windows isn't rocket science! I have a 2 MB file that I want to move to a different computer that has only a 3.5" disc drive (and hard drive). How can I use WindowsXP to divide this 2 MB file into two floppy discs to transfer and load on the other machine? I use to do this under dosshell long ago, but how to use WinXP for this? Dave |

Dave If the other computer is online you could always email the file to yourself. If not, this tiny file splitter/joiner does a great job: http://www.freebyte.com/hjsplit/#win32 It *should* fit on to a floppy so that you can move it to the other computer to rejoin the split file. And even if the resulting zip file won't fit on a single floppy, almost all the standard zip utilities provide for spanning the file over more than one disk3ette. -- Ken Blake - Microsoft MVP Windows: Shell/User Please reply to the newsgroup "Dave" wrote in message ... | | Dave |
