Default 2 Hard drives

I recently bought a nem 80gb hard drive (seagate barracuda) and i already had one of 80 gb (samsung). I tried to place correctly the jumpers as pry and slave, but end the windows starts the following message apears: "error loading OS". is it a compatibilit
y problem or the jumpers are in the wrong slots? please help, i can only start windows with the cd...

Your seagate drive should have no jumpers on it if it is installed as a
slave. I would look at the jumpers on the existing samsung drive, I suspect
it may have a jumper for either master/slave and maybe a jumper telling it
that's it's a single drive that may have to be removed.

Most hardware manufacturers have a Website. If you go to the site(s) of your
HD vendor, there should be instructins and diagrams showing the position for
the jumper cap for each configuration.... Slave and master.
