Default Latest upgrade seems to have disabled my Epson printer

Win-10-64-Pro, 1803 04/10 (installed a few days ago)

Epson WF-2750 printer/fax

Used to work fine. Now the printer has disappeared leaving only
WF-2750(Fax) showing in the devices control panel.

Tried reinstalling from the original Epson CD. This resulted in
another FAX device but no printer.

Deleted both FAX devices and installed from CD again. New FAX device,
no printer.

Epson has a page which suggests using control panel, devices and
printers, add a device. Unfortunately the prompt to add a device
manually shown by Epson is not shown in my control panel. There is a
prompt labeled "Not finding what you are looking for?" This sends you
to a page on installing a Bluetooth device...

Anyone else run into this?

no, but when I open Devices and printers there is a line just below the
menu bar that has, add a device, add a printer, remove a device, also I
sometimes have to reset this page to medium Icons for it to show.

Press the Windows and "R" keys simultaneously, type "devmgmt.msc" into
the "Run" box and click "OK". When Device Manager starts, click "View",
"Show hidden devices, expand "Printers" and see if the printer is
listed. If so, right-click it, select "Update driver", "Browse my
computer for driver software", then "Let me pick from a list of
available drivers on my computer". If one is found, install it. You
may have to restart your computer for the change to take effect.

I haven't run into THAT problem, but some update had disabled my
illuminated MSI keyboaard (MSI GT72). While it was plugged this
morning, it didn't work even after the machine was restarted, the
driver was updated, the software was force-enabled and so on. Now, in
another room, it works fine despite the laptop being unplugged from
power.

My machine also blue screens when it is plugged in one room and not in
the other. I blame the NVIDIA driver (which was announced to be a
buggy version) but it sometimes gets out of hand. It makes me want to
install the poor man's operating system in Linux.

The latest update gave my Brother MFC-7840W fits. It would disappear,
only to show back up on reboot and gave me error messages when I was
attempting to print.

Event Viewer recommended that the printer spooler service be restarted.
So, I went around the web looking for how-to's and found a couple.

So, I completed and it now seems to be working at least for today. I
also went to the Brother website looking for updated drivers and perhaps
a suite of utilities, but nothing has been updated sine 2013.

I was disappointed to have such a hassle with this printer that has been
my workhouse since purchase, but so far so good.

I'd tell you that if you want to keep your printer forever and will
only replace it when it's completely dead, you'd probably be best off
connecting it to a cheap Linux computer and sending your documents to
that computer somehow. Whereas Windows tends to lose support for
hardware after an edition or two, Linux tends to keep support for all
hardware long after the manufacturer has decided that it is no longer
worth the trouble. Brother does a good job of supporting the underdog
operating system as well.

I'm lucky that the 2007 Samsung ML-2510 that I purchased in 2010 (I
think) is still operational and supported in Windows but I wouldn't be
surprised to have it magically disappear after a few updates.

I contacted Epson and they sent me links to download driver package
installers as .exe files. That worked. I now have both printer and FAX
devices. The drivers from those links were later versions than the
ones loaded by Epson Update the day before. Apparently the Win-10
update didn't like something in the previous drivers.
