Default Annoying popup

How does one get rid of the popup "Burn a Disk"
that appears whenever a disk is inserted into the
optical drive?

Try something like this ?

https://www.thewindowsclub.com/set-a...lts-windows-10

There's autoplay and autorun.

GPEdit seems to show an entry for autorun here.
Autorun is for controlling the automatic running
of Setup.exe off an installer disc.

https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/...s-windows.html

Adjusting AutoPlay might be sufficient to make
the prompting go away.

Note that, installing an optical burner program
might also cause a "burn a disc" or similar notification
to pop up. You'd look in the program preferences for
a way to turn that off.

Thanks Paul, I've just turned off Autoplay.

Hi Paul,

This is an interesting question for the 1st 100 steps of setting Win10 up!

I don't know the answer, but it's a good question, as I *never* see that
popup on Windows 10, although I have *seen* it in the past and I have my
AutoPlay set to "On" as shown below:
http://img4.imagetitan.com/img.php?image=18_autoplay01.jpg

So there's something I may have turned off, in my first 60 steps of setting
up Windows, that turns that off. But what?

BTW, I use ImgBurn to burn disks, which is located here if interested.
http://www.imgburn.com/?act=download

So maybe ImgBurns turns it off?

Dunno - here are my related ImgBurn settings, all left at the defaults:
