Upgrading XP Home SP2 to XP Pro SP1 for 64 bit PC

Default Upgrading XP Home SP2 to XP Pro SP1 for 64 bit PC

I recently purchases a Compaq 64-bit laptop with XP Home SP2 on it. Having
previously purchased XP Pro SP1, I want to use the Pro version. In seeing
past posts, I am confused whether or not I can do this easily. Also, any
guidance on how this upgrade will work on a 64-bit computer would be
appreciated (as installing Microsoft Office software on this laptop has been
problematic).

Windows XP Pro SP-1 will be seen as a downgrade to Windows XP Home SP-2
because of the Service Pack difference.
Slipstream SP-2 to Windows XP Pro and upgrade should work:

You'll need to go
to:http://www.microsoftproductorder.com...tx64/microsoft.
pro/default.aspx
From there you get a free 64 bit xp on exchange i believe.Sorry,not sure
about
the url,however thier is a program thru microsoft for what you'd like to do.
