Upgrading XP Home SP2 to XP Pro SP1 for 64 bit PC
I recently purchases a Compaq 64-bit laptop with XP Home SP2 on it. Having
previously purchased XP Pro SP1, I want to use the Pro version. In seeing past posts, I am confused whether or not I can do this easily. Also, any guidance on how this upgrade will work on a 64-bit computer would be appreciated (as installing Microsoft Office software on this laptop has been problematic). |

Windows XP Pro SP-1 will be seen as a downgrade to Windows XP Home SP-2
because of the Service Pack difference. Slipstream SP-2 to Windows XP Pro and upgrade should work: http://msfn.org/comments.php?id=9235...ght=slipstream -- Jupiter Jones [MVP] http://www3.telus.net/dandemar In memory of our dear friend, MVP Alex Nichol http://www.dts-l.org "CtS-Giorgio" wrote in message ...
