windows automatically saves any internet searches or any information in text
boxes. How do I turn this off?

I'm not aware of the setting (if actually one exists, for that matter) that
will allow you to specify such a thing.
There are however plenty of programs around that let you 'clean out' those
lists. eg. Crapcleaner (http://www.ccleaner.com/)
