If you have a third-party DVD recording program installed,
you can record to either a CD or DVD.

Don't understand what you mean by "integrate one program with
another".

Windows XP can not burn directly to DVDs even though you have a DVD writer.
However XP can burn directly to CDs and DVD writers can burn to CDs. If you
want to make use of your DVD writer then you will need a third party
software program capable of doing that. It is likely that your computer has
such a program installed if you purchased your system with software
installed. Consult the instructions that came with the system. If you find
you do need third party software the following is free and works well with

When you say you want to "integrate one program with another" can you give
us examples of what you mean?
