WAY WAY OT looking for software
I'm on Win 7 not updated since all the forced Win 10 brou ha ha.
I would love to find an "appointment book"/calendar software that would work between two users. When either my wife or I open our profile the calendar/appointment book would show the same entries regardless of who input them when. I'm not sure such a critter exists but it would sure help us keep track better of who is scheduled what and where and when. I have a gadget that I like but the only way for both of us to use it is to drag drop and replace back and forth between profiles/desktops each time we log in. Thanks much if anyone comes up with something. |

They are both online and you or your other half can access it anytime, anywhere as long as you have Internet access on your smart phone or laptop. This is how people mange their lives these days and you should really get hang of it. You will find that none of the software you are looking for is unlikely to work unless you have a dedicated server running and so additional cost and administration. Good luck. -- With over 500 million devices now running Windows 10, customer satisfaction is higher than any previous version of windows. |

This is windows 7 and you only deal with Windows Operating System not some fringe software packages running on Windows 7. There are dedicated newsgroups and forums for that purpose. You just need to search for them. -- With over 500 million devices now running Windows 10, customer satisfaction is higher than any previous version of windows. |

Thanks much if anyone comes up with something. If you use Thunderbird, you can add the "provider for google calendar" extension and it will allow you to link to a google account and that google calendar. Of course you have to have one google account and both of you connect TB or respective PCs to that one account in the Lightning Calendar that's now built into TB. My wife and I do this. We both have a laptop and also you can access the calendar easily from an android phone. Not sure about IOS, never been there. The other option is Rainledar http://www.rainlendar.net/cms/index.php that if you pay for the pro version (and it's not that much) it will access google calendar also. The nice thing about Rainlendar is it will show your events (appointments) on the desktop wallpaper. |

I downloaded Vueminder Lite but don't see, so far, that it operates between profiles. May check the low cost version next. Google Calendar is not locally based and I was hoping for something where it's not a matter of having to log in every time. It does have potential though. Thanks |

As I mentioned to T I was hoping for something that didn't require going online. And as far as smart phones and lap tops, my old flip phone makes phone calls just fine, and, I find no need, at 67 years and retired, to have access to the internet 24/7. Unlike many I know. (I've got two rotary phones that work just fine also) VBG |

We already have various links to common data bases (music, addresses, birthday lists, photos etc). A quick desktop shortcut to calendars and there we be. I've already made up an Excel sheet and printed it. We can just leave it on the drive. Hmm. Sometimes it takes a village...............Dang, that line has a familiar ring to it. Thanks Don. I think this might be the easier yet answer we were looking for. |

Just buy an old fashioned diary and keep it on your desk at home where your wife can look at it and add new entries or delete/amend the ones that needs to be amended AND pay somebody to take away your machine. You won't need it and you won't need dropbox either. -- With over 500 million devices now running Windows 10, customer satisfaction is higher than any previous version of windows. |
