WINDOWS XP HOME EDITION (SP2) PROBLEM IN ACCESSING RESOURCES & IPC
Hello,
We are a 2 man team with 2 WinXP Home PC's and 1 Windows 98se I upgraded one WinXP machine to SP2 which "appeared" to be fine. Over the next couple of days Now I seem to have a problem accessing our Server (\\xyz) on machines while logged in as *some* users. I don't have any problem actually logging on at all (change the pwd on the server and I have to use the new password to login which then works fine). What I have found is that: I created a new user on the server ("cw") and am now in the process of transferring settings across but now another one of my users have had this "one user/one machine, resource access" problem and I don't know where is it going to stop! Should I uninstall WinXP SP2? Does anyone know why accessing Server resources for certain User/Machine combinations doesn't work anymore? Thanks in advance, Vipul Panchal |
