XP Networking problems
Xref: kermit microsoft.public.windowsxp.network_web:196339
I have tried to set up a network between my computer (desktop+host) to my daughters laptop. Both run xp home edition. I used an external adapter for both using my phoneline. The adapter is xp compatible and I have ran the wizard to set up everything. The problem is the laptop has alot of problems with accessing sites. She cannot read her web mail, have recieved errors saying she is behind a firewall and she cannot use instant messaging or her passport to log in. Also when I disconnect and then reconnect, I have to reset my dialup for sharing and firewall as it won't save the information. It's driving me crazy and would greatly appreciate any help. Thanks |
