2 Hard drives
I recently bought a nem 80gb hard drive (seagate barracuda) and i already had one of 80 gb (samsung). I tried to place correctly the jumpers as pry and slave, but end the windows starts the following message apears: "error loading OS". is it a compatibilit
y problem or the jumpers are in the wrong slots? please help, i can only start windows with the cd... |

Your seagate drive should have no jumpers on it if it is installed as a
slave. I would look at the jumpers on the existing samsung drive, I suspect it may have a jumper for either master/slave and maybe a jumper telling it that's it's a single drive that may have to be removed. Most hardware manufacturers have a Website. If you go to the site(s) of your
HD vendor, there should be instructins and diagrams showing the position for the jumper cap for each configuration.... Slave and master. "Norm" wrote in message om...
