sp2 HELP!! *** CLICK HERE ***

hi,
i installed window xp sp2 thru automatic updates and it
said it is completed. It force me to restart my
computer.however, after i restart..my computer is "STUCK"
on the window xp pro loading screen."the black screen
with winxp pro letters". As a result, my window wont load
=(.afterwards i hv to format my comp.i tired installin
sp2 once again and it WORKED *BUT* after restart my
window xp pro still stuck at the same screen.

can anyone please help me out.
my comp pentium 4 2.4ghz 512 ddr ram

There are probably ways to uninstall SP 2 outside of the Windows GUI (i.e.
from
Recovery Console), but have you tried booting into Safe Mode? Press the F8
key as the system is beginning to boot and you'll have a menu of options
which includes Safe Mode.

Safe Mode can be a lengthy boot, don't give up unless it seems not to be
making progress. Once booted go Start. Settings. Control Panel. Add-Remove
Programs. Choose uninstall Service Pack 2 and follow the prompts leading to
reboot the system. Once done the Service Pack is removed and things should
be normal.

Boot into safe mode F8 key at start up, use system restore there to get back
to stable comfiguration or Hit same key and find "last good Configuration or
boot"
in the menu that has safe mode ect in it , hit that key and you should boot
right up no problems
