read more. lining up overnight isn't just apple.

So what? So other products/actors/whatever, inspire overnight lineups.

your claim was that it's only apple who has a religious cult following
where people line up. that is of course, complete bull****.

I did not use the word "only". If you inferred that, you have a problem.

it's quite clear what you meant.

you only mentioned apple users lining up with a religious devotion and
then compared it to microsoft users, who do not due to frustration with
the product, except that they do line up, so they must not be all that
frustrated.

this is what you wrote:
I recall the first time I read reports about Apple customers lining up
overnight outside Apple stores to buy the latest device. I realised that
Apple encourages a religion-like devotion to its products. The typical
Apple user loves the product. The typical Windows user is more or less
frustrated by the product.

in addition to the links in my other post, here's two more for you to

Irrelevant, since I was referring to the effect of Apple products on
their Apple customers.

it's not irrelevant. you're singling out apple and ignoring that many
other products cause people to wait in lines.

with the star wars movies, many people dress up in costume. no mention
of that either.

If you read my comments as some kind of put down of only Apple
customers, you have a problem.

that's *exactly* what you intended.

otherwise, why only mention apple users lining up when people line up
for all sorts of stuff, and in some cases, resulting in physical
altercations:

Violence has broken out in the 2017 Black Friday shopping frenzy, as
at least one person was shot*at a Missouri mall and another shopping
center in Alabama shut down due to brawls.

Thanks for that. Your last sentence very succinctly describes nospam's
MO and nicely goes with Mayayana's "He's just a compulsive arguer."

[This space is intentionally left blank for nospam to clobber his straw
men to death.]

What a sad thing to say.

not at all. much of what you wrote was *wrong*.

once again, you snipped to alter context.

not only are you not interested in discussing anything, but you aren't
interested in learning from your mistaken beliefs.

But he's clever, managing to get just enough
people to argue with him that it disrupts groups.
What if he was sent by corporate interests to
make non-commercially-controlled forums unusable?
What a dastardly smart idea it would be to use
the disguise of a pre-cogitative AppleSeed.
