Default Task bar not showing properly

HENRY: How the HELL do you have a life running a system
restore every week? Way I see it got 2 choices: do a
destructive system recovery(now this is a big job for a
man so time impoverished as you) OR,play detetive and
find out which prog is loving your company too much.
Haven't you noticed any tendency for this problem after
running a certain prog? It is a lot of work to go
destructive and the other is like Holmes and DR. Watson.
With that many restores it is likely the problem is a
corrupt file in a folder of a prog you have added.

Good evening:

I'm not sure if you can help me with this or not.

For the past several weeks I've had to do a System

Restore
once a week.

It always seems to happen when there is a slight hitch

(one
of the programs doesn't shut down properly) in closing
down the computer for the night.

The next morning I get a whole bunch of strange icons in
the task bar and can only see the items I'm loading up
show up in a small segment of the task bar one at a

time.
I spoke to the Sympatico people the first time it

happened
and they suggested a System Restore. I don't think I
should have to do one once a week.
Is there anything I can do to prevent this from

happening
this often?
