Connecting to the Internet
I have a problem to solve:
I have Windows XP, a Dell Inspiron 5315, a Linksys router - WRT160N-, and a Lynksys Compact Wireless - G USB Adapter. Here is the problem, when I set the WEP to enable, I try and connect to the router, but then it asks for a user name and password. No idea what it is or why it asks for that. It doen't ask for the WEP paraphrase, or key, when I try to connect to it. This is on a desktop trying to connect to wireless. I tried a laptop and connected enough to get to the internet. I then took the WEP enabled off and it gets to the internet fine on the desktop. Why is it asking for a username and password, or how do I connect? I have never seen this before and I have set up a few wireless including my own. Any help or direction would be great. -- Maddog236 |
