Notification safe to remove USB
Could someone remind me how to restore the notification message saying
it is now safe to remove the USB stick, without entering the registry. It disappeared when W10 was updated. I am sure this has happened before and that there is a quick fix. Thanks. |

Try here; https://goo.gl/1obQJy Ed That's a pretty long thread - almost like notifications are a Microsoft whipping boy or something :-) We need more "features" to modify the behavior. BTW - if you put a plus on the end of those links, you can see a URL preview. https://goo.gl/1obQJy+ https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/...7218640?auth=1 Paul |

Search Taskbar Notification Area Windows Explorer (Safely remove hardware eject media) should be checked. If I remember this has something to do with write catching. I have some flash sticks with led's in them. If I select to eject the stick, the led turns off almost instantly. Safe to remove. I believe this really is meant for external hard drives. Right now I can't remember if the popup is not seen, but in the past it would go away. Maybe MS did something right for a change ? Unfortunately 'Windows Explorer' does not seem to be an option. I thought it was renamed 'File Explorer' and there is no sign of that either. |

I thought it was renamed 'File Explorer' and there is no sign of that either. Let's do this again. At the main menu TYPE Taskbar what comes up are a few things about the Taskbar. One of them will be Taskbar notification area. Click on that and one of the options will be NOTIFICATION AREA. Click that and somewhere in that list will be all the startup icons. One of them will be WINDOWS EXPLORER with a grayed out printing SAFELY REMOVE HARDWARE AND EJECT MEDIA. MAKE SURE THAT IS TURNED ON. If you can't find that, you are on your own BYE Found it thanks. HELLO. |

The Apps needs to communicate with the user so it should always be ON. https://i.imgur.com/YubLwcE.png https://i.imgur.com/YubLwcE.png Sometimes this setting requires the machine to be restarted for changes to take effect so make sure you do this. 💻💻💻💻💻💻💻💻💻💻💻💻🠒»ðŸ’»ðŸ’»ðŸ’»ðŸ’»ðŸ’»ðŸ’»ðŸ’»ðŸ’»ðŸ’»ðŸ’» /--- This email has been checked for viruses by Windows Defender software. //https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/windows/comprehensive-security/ -- With over 600 million devices now running Windows 10, customer satisfaction is higher than any previous version of windows. |
