i have same problem as you. The Nichols article is useful but does not address the last solution of deleting and reinstalling the Pagefile.SYS. Please can someone give instructions on this. I have the same problem , where I set the paging file, and it does not change
or ,rarely, it does change, but returns to 167MB at next reboot. Currently I have it set on custom, minimum 400 MB, but repeated attempts to set yeild only 167 MB. I followed the instructions from Alex Nichol up to the point of deleting PAGEFILE.SYS. A search turns up nothing, even of hidden files or folders. I cannot delete this file if I cannot find it. What do you recommend?
