Router to block port access vs time?
Is there a router product for home network that would allow one to block www
access by setting a time window of access for a particular cable port or by the mac address? This to limit kids use of ww after hours vs manually pulling the plug. I have Linksys befsr41 now that doesnt do that. Any thoughts? |

But it sounds as though you are trying to use passive technology instead of active parenting. I suggest that, first and foremost, you move those PCs from the kid's bedrooms to the room most heavily used by parents; and, that you look over the kid's shoulders a lot to monitor their net use. -- Cheers, Bob |

I have a Netgear RP612v2. It allows me to "block" port access by mac
address, IP address and DATE/Time interval. "trs80" wrote in message news:FACde.5074$aB.4570@lakeread03...
