Default chntpw works in Frankenstein (w8)

Hi All,

I got to a customer's site with Frankenstein (W8.1). She
had a single web account and she did not know the password.

This was unusual as I was the one who originally created
her a local account without a password (this is a no
security installation). She had no web account(s).

What I found was a single web account with a weird hotmail
address. We tried all her favorite password. No joy.
She had no idea how this all transpired.

Anyway, I have a Fedora Live USB stick I use for such
occupations with "chntpw" and directions installed on
it.

I used chntpw to unlock her Administrators account, recovered
her files from her original local account name in C:\users\
(which was still there), created a new local account, transfered
her files back, and nuked the web account.

So, it is verified that chntpw does work in Frankie. I have yet
to test it in Son-of-Frankenstein (W-Nein, oops, W10).

HTH someone else,
-T
