Default LEFT CTRL Mute

Could someone please help me
everytime i press the left ctrl key my sound is muted.
ive checked my registry and my win.ini and still cant seem to find the problem.
could someone please help.

You have to install multimedia keyboard software and to disable the mute function. It is connected to the same line as the left ctrl. Right Ctrl is Backward Browser on the keyboard I have.
