Default Internet Connection Lost

I just upgraded from Windows ME to Windows XP SP2, and since then I get
kicked off the internet after approximately ten minutes after turning on the
computer. I can't find any power saving option on my network card that is
causing this.

Any other ideas?

I ran both Adaware and Hijackthis and they both came back clean.

Ad-aware and HijackThis are not antivirus programs. Do you have a
full-featured antivirus (version not earlier than 2003) installed? Are
its definitions current? Scan with it in Safe Mode and then report
back.

Default Internet Connection Lost

I have just upgraded to XP. I ran the virus scan after upgrading. I realize
that the virus scan says:

"C:\ Master Boot Record is OK: standard Win95 OSR2.
C:\ Partition Boot Record is OK: standard Win2000 (4)"

but I assure you that I am running XP. Upgrading to XP has caused me to
experience the problems that I am having now. My internet connection was
fine before. Other people seem to be having the same problem, or so it seems
in these newsgroups, but none of the options given to them are working for me.
