Post IEEE1394a card installation with Win XP

I bought a firewire card from Sabrent and installed it into one of my PCI slots.
Windows XP is suppose to install the card automaticaly in the plug n play feature.
Unforturnately windows kicks back and advises that I need a driver. I contacted the manufacturer who just states it should install automaticaly, and has not been more helpful. Can anyone suggest how to get the card working?
As I indicated I have windows With the latest updates.
Please advise me at Thank You
