Potential Windows Update Database Error Detected
I just opened up a laptop running Win10HP 64 bit that I haven't opened
for a month or so. It's a Dell 15 5000 Series running version 1607, with the latest update being KB4038806, successfully installed today, 10/11/2017. But, the next two updates under Update History shows: Feature update to Windows 10, version 1703 Failed to install on 10/11/2017 Feature update to Windows 10, version 1703 Failed to install on 10/11/2017 So, I ran the Windows Update Troubleshooter in the Control Panel. Here's what I got: https://postimg.org/image/2rr2zbglqj/ I searched for an answer/fix, but all were more technical than I could perform, or they didn't seem to address this problem. I really don't need version 1703, from what I can see of it's features. Nonetheless, I'd like to fix this. And advice/ideas? TIA |

TIA Cut the crap and wait until next week (17th October, 2017) and install the latest "UPGRADE" to Windows 10 system. You won't need any of the past updates to UPGRADE your system. I didn't read your post on the grounds that it is TL,DR Good luck anyway. -- With over 500 million devices now running Windows 10, customer satisfaction is higher than any previous version of windows. |

Hi Paul, I have here == V1703 B15063.674 .. Typing error ? Greetings Sorry. Yes, that's a typing error. I switched the digits. I can actually wipe over the web page and copy/paste that way. And that would have avoided a typing error. KB4041676 (OS Build 15063.674) --- Patch Tuesday KB4040724 (OS Build 15063.632) KB4038788 (OS Build 15063.608) --- Me I did see two Feature Updates in my WU History, but I checked a couple OSes and don't see them now. TIA If you are using an old version of WinZip, you may have to uninstall it, then reinstall after the update. Ben |
