Problems with upgrading my MSN Messenger
Greetings Rolando,
Firstly, just so you know, you can't actually upgrade Windows Messenger 4.7 to MSN Messenger 6.1, they are different products and are separate (hence the difference product names). However, if you click Start, then Run, type "eventvwr.msc" and click OK, click Application on the left-side, then look for Error's from the "MsiInstaller" source. The most recent one should be it, assuming you haven't had any other problems with a Windows Installer. Double-click the Error, and look in the Description field for a more accurate description of the problem. If you post this description (there's probably multiple Error's in the Event Viewer, so post all of them), we might be able to figure out the real explanation for the 1603 error (which is a generic error code). ____________________________________________ Jonathan Kay Microsoft MVP - Windows Messenger/MSN Messenger Associate Expert http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/expertzone/ Messenger Resources - http://messenger.jonathankay.com "Rolando" wrote in message ...
