IE11 Missing
For some reason I cannot get to the internet from the desktop with
IE11. I was on the internet when suddenly the screen show empty. My email works and I get to the internet from the Windows 8 metro location but when I click on IE11 I get the address but nothing but a white text area. I can also down load a new version of Itunes. Any ideas what happened? |

Any ideas what happened? IE has gone into OFFline mode? "File", near the bottom of the list "Work in offline mode". J. In windows 8 there is a function called Airplane mode, It is very easy to accidentally activate. You can change it back, in the Network "Charm" Since I work elusively from the desk top you can also access it from the network Icon in the task bar. |

I'm not Keith, but if he doesn't mind my butting in, I'll confirm that it's called "airplane mode." -- Ken Blake |

Dunno about W8 or even W8-one, but there is definitely an "Airplane Mode" on my Kobo E-book Reader. Does that help any? In desperation I returned to a system restore of a week ago and when the system rebooted every thing was OK. I do a full backup every Saturday morning and an incremental one each night. Backup has saved me again. Thanks for all the responses. |

I don't know whether it's UK or Toshiba, but your post somewhere else in this thread indicates to me that Fight Mode is a synonym for Airplane mode, so all is resolved (at least for me). Microsoft has again confused a lot of people with their nomenclature. There is no reason why the US and UK versions should be different for this. -- Ken Blake |
