Com1 not workin!!
I have a infrared receiver which i connect to the serial port (COM1). The
infrared receiver belongs as an accessory of my camera watch. I need to transfer the pics from my watch to the pc and it can only be done through this receiver. When i bought this watch there was no XP so naturally the software would not be XP compatible but still i did install it. When i try to transfer the data between the watch and the receiver (while enabling receive command on the pc and send command on the watch) then in windows in the software it gives the error "Infrared port is not available. Please check infrared settings of watch & pc." I also have a pda and when i try to connect that to the computer using this receiver it does not work (using Microsoft Activesync) it says that the COM port is not available. I also do know that the receiver is not having a problem because recently i transferred all the files from my camera watch to my friends pc which though was using Windows 98SE. Is there any way of making this work in Windows XP? |
